MICHAEL'S VIEW: SPOTLIGHTING THE ABSURDITIES THAT SURROUND US

ATHEISM
Topic: The Absurdity of Atheism

I believe in God; firmly and unshakeably.

Yet there are hundreds of millions in our world that do not. In the States alone about 2% of the population does not believe in a Creator. Most of them are well educated. Some of them are so convinced that God does not exist that they see it as their duty to spread the message and thus publish countless web sites and various books, which announce that God is a myth.

The focus of their work is why they do not believe. They are critical of religion and gladly publish the foibles of various groups. They are quite adept at explaining what they don’t believe. They are quite poor at explaining what they do believe.

I have communicated with some atheists and when pushed to explain their views on origins, it always goes back to the same explanation. The source of all is simply energy. Way back in time, energy transformed itself into the stunning atom and then into the laws that regulate the universe and finally the mind-boggling universe, all the life forms that surround us and finally us humans.

Again we must emphasize that the energy they refer to is not intelligent energy. It is “dumb” and “blind.” It has no mind and it has no aim.  It’s that simple.

Atheists love to spotlight the irrationality of religion, yet they are ready and willing to believe this absurdity. They are quick to criticize the strange views that according to them abound in religion, yet they do not pause to ponder how ludicrous their views on origins really are.

But we will not interfere with their foolish reasoning. People are free to believe that energy has no origin and that it has no mind and no aims. They are free to believe that this titanic source suddenly decided (?) to manifest itself universe-wide with the stunning atom, matter and the laws that regulate existence. We will not interfere with their willingness to accept all this in faith. For they too have the right to believe in something which defies reason and logic.
