 Is God Cruel?

EXTRATERRESTRIALS? YES! — GOD? NO WAY! (RICHARD DAWKINS)

     I strongly recommend Ben Stein's recent documentary "Expelled--No Intelligence Allowed," not only because he masterfully and brilliantly shows the  connection between Social Darwinism and the Holocaust, but also because it captures the blatant irrationality that drives some of the top leaders of the atheistic movements -- such as Richard Dawkins, for instance.

     Watching "Expelled—No Intelligence Allowed," by Ben Stein was a most enlightening experience. Ben Stein was brilliant in his ability to manipulate some of the top leaders in the atheist movement into letting down their defenses and confessing what they really believed about God, life on earth, evolution, etc..

     One of the most amazing sections of the documentary was Stein’s interview of heavyweight Richard Dawkins. One of the questions asked by Stein was how did he think life began on earth. Dawkins response was most enlightening, because he admitted believing that perhaps life on earth was "seeded" by “extraterrestrials.” This admission was tantamount to a confession that indeed there is a designer behind all the intricate forms of life; but the designer is definitely not the God of the Bible, nor any divine Being.

     Dawkins went on to admit that extraterrestrials, of course, required a designer as well, but again no space for God.

     This is typical of the mental set of militant atheists. God is the enemy and His reality must be fought vigorously, even with weapons (replacement arguments) that are nothing short of absurd. Yet, to them,  the absurd is more credible and acceptable than a magnificent Mind that conceived and maintains everything.

     Will the day come when Dawkins will finally see the light and admit to being the creation of a superior Being? It is the opinion of this author that like Anthony Flew and Jean Paul Sartre he finally will, but only time will tell for certain. In the meantime, we will watch with sadness a potentially brilliant mind be obscured by the ridiculous and the absurd.
